The idea for the contest is good! You should actually make it a contest but maybe make the theme of the contest a bit easy so that more people can join?

It's a joke!
Compare the OP with every line. It's the opposite!

Umm… you weren't supposed to post that. Maybe post in the show and tell forum? These are just tips and tricks to get people enter your contest.

Yep, I know . But the idea of recreating a program is an innovative idea for a contest! You should try making it into an actual contest

I saw a contest and the host said that people can be prizegivers, and I thought it was a good idea. I am trying to get people to be prizegivers for me, and I know I just posted my contest, but no one has offered yet. Do you have any tips for getting people to want to become prizegivers? I already offered to give shoutouts, hearts, and stars to my prizegivers so I'm a bit stuck. Thank you so much

Hi! I've checked out your contest and it's pretty cool . I feel that there are enough prize givers but if you want more people to join as prize givers, you can try any one of these ways to get people to become prize givers for your contest :
  1. You can request your followers or whoever you are following to volunteer as prizegivers.
  • Advertise your contest in the 'Show and Tell' forum. Ask people to volunteer as prizegivers if they don't want to participate. Mention the prizes you're giving to prize givers so people are motivated to join.
  • You can also do the above step in studios meant for advertising but I recommend doing it in the ‘Show and Tell’ forum because many people visit this on a day-to-day basis (this is my view but feel free to do it your own way )
You can also refer to the original post for more ways to advertise your contest. Since many people were asking for ways to make their contest popular, I added a few ways to advertise your contest.

On a side note, I've noticed that in your contest people can be prizegivers as well as participants. Are you planning to make the prize givers the judges of your contest or do they just give the prizes mentioned to the winner?

I hope your contest goes well Good luck!

Great contest, but it would be better if you specified what exactly to do for it.

You might have seen people on Scratch making contests and you might have even participated in a few of them. If you want to make a contest of your own in Scratch, here are a few tips that can help you.

1) Make a contest which all people or specific people can participate in. Give them an easy theme. Eg: ‘My favourite flower’.

2) Give some information about the contest. Give some information about the contest so anyone who wants to participate will know what type of project to make and submit.

3)Invite some people you follow or people following you to be the judges(You also need to be a judge)of the contest. Note that there should be a limited number of judges like 3 or 4 judges.

4) Judge the projects fairly. If one of your close friends on Scratch is also participating and makes a project, give him/her the prize only if you like the project and fell that it's eligible to come first, not because he/she is your close friend.

5)Give prizes to the people who won. Give prizes to the people who won and consolation prizes to the prizes to the people who didn't win. Check some contests which have prizes and get an idea for the prizes in your contest.

6)Mention if you want the participants to remix your contest or make a new project. It's best if you tell to remix your contest because there won't be so much hassle.

Good Luck! :)

I've never made a contest on Scratch before, so I think this guide's really nice. Step 3 is pretty cool. I totally agree with step 4 because I have a cousin on Scratch who's also following me. But for number 5, I've been thinking that a good prize might be a follow, but what can be some other prizes that will tempt people? A shoutout?
For example, you could do a skin competition, like this one: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/504776328 . So basically you can add the winner's one in your animation and all the others get follows?
