Quick Question regarding gdpr0000001

I have been doing lots of research, but have not found anything useful. Who is gdpr0000001 and how did he/she jin 21 YEARS AGO. Status: Open thread so far. Please explain..? Also, why is it that you cannot view the pfp, or report the profile, or follow it?

gdpr0000001 was an account that was re-named due to a request under the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation law. It's join date was also set to January 1st, 2000, and it's location was removed for the same reason. For more information I recommend you check out this Scratch Wiki article.

GDPR is a regulation that requires businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens for transactions that occur within EU member states. And non-compliance could cost companies dearly. Here’s what every company that does business in Europe needs to know about GDPR.

I guess the user had personal info in their username and decided to get it GDPR'D. Were actually not even supposed to see that account but we can see it due to a glitch.

It is regarded as a test account for that feature, meaning that it was a test to make sure that accounts could successfully be “forgotten” in accordance with EU laws.

I think kaj and gdpr0000001 are an exception

accounts with names begining with gdpr are accounts that requsted to have their data wiped. most of the content on the account gets removed and replaced with placeholder stuff. (like an unatural join date)

gdpr0000001 was most likely an account used for testing the procedure, however we may never know

for whatever reason, the scratch team doesn't remove the public facing api pages and profile pages for gdpr'd accounts. wack.

disclaimer: sometimes my posts are pretty critical of the scratch team (especially my older ones), but i really do

scratch & scratch team. jvvg made a short essay thing about the scratch team, which is a pretty good read, if you want a different perspective for the scratch team's actions.
