Is unconscious rickrolls allowed on Scratch?
When I say unconscious rickrolls, I mean that the victim doesn't know that the link is a rickroll. Why is unconscious rickrolls so rare to find on Scratch? If that were true, is it allowed? If the following two questions were true, is it reportable? In extreme forms and if the following three questions were true, if a scratcher posted it repeatedly can it consequently lead to a permaban or a temporary one?

You can click here to find the answer.then that's not okay. You have a question that you want to be answered, and if all I do is send you a Rickroll video under the guise of a helpful answer, then that doesn't help you at all and just wastes your time.

Wait they're rare? I wouldn't consider them rare because on Reading and Playing topic there are 2 topics that are dedicated to rickrolling.

When they have dedicated topics for rickrolling, that means that it's not unconscious. In other words, the user knows that it will be a rickroll.Rickrolls and hidden ones are fine, just don't spam them. Then why it's so rare to encounter one on Scratch?

I still wouldn't consider them rare. Even in the rickroll topic and the other rick roll topic they still have unconscious rickrolls, unconscious rickrolls in projects, studios and even in people's signatures. Rickrolling got popular somehow. Which your going to run into them every once in a while on scratch or even on other websites.

In your signature, it's perfectly fine. Someone had something about ‘asian spring rolls’ that were “”“”“”approved by Paddle2see“”“”“” but it was a rickroll of some sort I believe

I thought rickrolls weren't allowed (except on april fools) because it counts as tricking the community?

I thought rickrolls weren't allowed (except on april fools) because it counts as tricking the community?I suppose it depends on the person's expectations, and the seriousness of the situation. If you're answering a topic about what to report and what not to, rickrolling is unacceptable. However I saw a game that was ‘zelda 3d’ and it turned out to be a rickroll. I think it also depends on if it's your ‘property’ or not. Your signature or about me might be fine, but doing so on someone else's topic or project might not be fine

I thought rickrolls weren't allowed (except on april fools) because it counts as tricking the community? We've decided that Rickroll projects are okay (such as something that is advertised as a 3D platformer but turns out to be a Rickroll). However, what I've said in my other post still stands:

That could still be annoying (Part of why I don't support the open scratch links in projects). On that topic, are fake projects allowed? I came across one pretending to be minecraft java edition, instead when you click on a button it says “JK, pretend in the comments”

Rickroll projects are okay in my opinion, because only the most sensible reason that they expect you to take it not seriously, that also explains thatI thought rickrolls weren't allowed (except on april fools) because it counts as tricking the community? We've decided that Rickroll projects are okay (such as something that is advertised as a 3D platformer but turns out to be a Rickroll). Then why it's so rare to encounter one on Scratch?Stuff like that on Scratch is often a trend that exists for a while and then mostly disappears. I remember getting rickrolled a lot over the summer so I assume that the community has mostly moved on to something else.

Rickroll projects are okay in my opinion, because only the most sensible reason that they expect you to take it not seriously, that also explains thatI would disagree on this point somewhat. I've seen some clickbait projects use the excuse "it's okay because it's just a joke and you shouldn't take it seriously because my project is ironic lol xd!!!“
That being said, I don't really mind Rickroll projects either. I think that the problem comes when the project feels more like ”Let's see how many views I can get before this project gets taken down for misleading content“ than ”Haha, this is actually funny."So, you may ask, how do you decide what puts something in one category or the other? Well, I have no idea.
