(this is my first topic) Hello scratchers. Well, just look up. I can't create cloud variables for a Highscore. I'm trying to make, I put the name, Click ‘cloud variable’ and click ‘OK’. Nothing appears!

When the cloud variables are made, they first check if they can connect to the Scratch server. If the connection is successful, then it is created. If it is not successful, then the cloud variable will not create. The reason is because what used to happen is cloud variables would not connect to the server, yet still be created, so what looked like a cloud variable actually wasn't updating. Maybe check how well your internet connection is?

The same thing has happened to me.

You have to be a scratcher to use them

Made 1 cloud variable but another doesn't work. Maybe this would help?

Thanks! that was the first time I found out I was a new scratcher. I'm wondering why because I've been on Scratch 1.2 years!

you are new to scratch, cloud variables only work with scratchers

To bad, i am a new scratcher too, but cant figure out how to become a real scratcher.

That just happened to me! Which was SO annoying!!!!!!!!

I don't think you need to be a scratcher because everyone have this problem even I have this problem

Since this topic hasn't seen a new post from the topic owner in a long time, I'm going to assume that it is dead and close the topic. If it still is alive, the topic owner just needs to use the Report button to ask a mod to reopen it

…yes everyone, you need to be a Scratcher in order to use cloud variables. This is working as intended, not a bug. Please make sure you read the thread before posting and don't post on old threads that have already been resolved.
