report projects without visiting them
just a suggestion
ok so wut if i see a project with an inappropriate thumbnail? id have to visit the project and look at the thumb even more?! just add a report button on project thumbnail.
also, uve note accepted many (or any) suggestions recently. but i remembered that it wasnt you (i think) who coded scratch, it was mit's programmers, right? so… i dont think that any suggestions have an actual point cuz ull never accept them, ull have to contact mit and blah blah, theyll just say we dont care lol.
so yeah whats the point of the report button if u cant use it without visiting the project
thats kind of stupid

I think a suggestion to report a featured project on the profile page is more efficient than this.

This would blow open the door to spam reporting and mass reporting. And besides, the thumbnail of a project is smaller than what the project displays.
If a thumbnail is inappropriate, you can simply go to the project and report it for that reason. It's only one extra step.

Yes but your suggestion is specific to just the thumbnail. Wherewith a report featured project on the profile report page, you should be able to report anything wrong with the project.

As it's already been said, mass reporting would become an even bigger issue. I know for a fact there are users out there that just report to troll, this would be a convenience to them.
Besides, why not actually go to the project and report it there? That way you won't be taking a blind guess at it's contents.

tbh i might close this why is everyone hating on this suggestion, its stupid that it isnt there! like, i mean, come on isnt mit trying to make scratch kid-appropriate? they should provide more efficient moderation. if mass reporting is an issue, then moderation is terrible. ok, now im mad! i might explode in a few secs. O_o

No, you're missing my point here. Someone could easily set up bots that just go to the explore tab and report literally every project there. As it's already been said, mass reporting would become an even bigger issue. Yes, you'd have to “see all the details in higher resolution” but atleast the entire website isn't colapsing on itself.
Also, I've been on Scratch for 4 years and all (except one) of the inappropriate projects I've seen didn't even show the contents in the thumbnail.

You could always quickly report while the project loads and the thumbnail is hiddenAs it's already been said, mass reporting would become an even bigger issue. Guys he is talking about something like this:

Don't misunderstand it as a feature project or something
As for the suggestion, it will be very easy to mass report a project so NO SUPPORT

Semi-support. Some people may be uncomfortable going into a project and not report it so this would be a nice feature.
But as others have pointed out it could lead to mass reporting.

No support, for the myriad of reasons above.
Also please write normally, it's much easier to read and understand. I don't even understand why you don't want projects to load.
