I want to make a chat room for my game

Chat rooms have to be limited to a preset list of things that can be said - eg ‘Hello’, ‘I like Scxratch’ and so on.

Once you have a list like that you can use the index number of the item in the list ratehr than encoding the text but if you want usernames to be handled you'll need to encode those.

Then it's just a case of managing the use of your cloud variables - eg does each person have one cloud variable or do you want to be able to grab the one that has been unused for the longest time so you don't have to worry about more than 10 users?

Um, you can make a chat room, but there has to be things like different words you can use. Make a list with stuff like “Hello!” or “Yes.” or “Good night!” Something like that. I hope this helped with your problem!

Open chat rooms aren't allowed in scratch. If you want, you can make only a limited word selection, but make sure to be careful! People could still make sentences that you hadn't thought of and that are not very nice. Hope I helped ^^

you can tag word with numbers, and send them through the numbers. Since the word choice is limited, you dont have to decode or encode

Encrypting letters into numbers to be decrypted back into words with cloud vars isn't allowed, however you can have a limited selection of words that are appropriate.

If you want to use a limited amount of words, you should just have phrases and not individual words which further prevents issues that revolve around inappropriate words or phrases.
