Projects that get more than 100 loves in it's first 24 hours don't show up on Trending
No one official has told me this, but it seemed like it got changed in June, because Dhilly's new project in June, along with huntedskelly's new project, and a few more other scratcher's projects, didn't get on the Trending page in June, even though they all got 500+ loves in one day. From seeing this on multiple projects, I have found out about this glitch. However, this glitch can be bypassed by resharing your project.I believe the re-sharing glitch happens because if you re-share your project, your loves and favorites don't reset, so Scratch assumes that you just gained a bunch of loves and favorites instantly, therefor putting your project on trending. I think projects that were re-shared are pushing other popular projects off trending. If I am right, then Scratch probably chooses to put people on trending not just by how many loves or favorites a project has, but also how quick it gets those loves and favorites.Yeah, it's based off how quick it gets them. If it gets more than 100 loves in 24 hours, it gets blacklisted from trending. That's the new algorithm they changed in June.
Have you been told this, or is it just speculation?

Brad-Games’s latest project is also missing from trending, and had over 1000 hearts in the first day

i think ik why, perhaps it got 100 views in 24hrs, but got 250 in 7d so um yeah, did the project get a lot of views for quite a while or did it just get that 100 and die?

Brad-Games’s latest project is also missing from trending, and had over 1000 hearts in the first dayCorrect. It got more than 100 loves in its first 24 hours, so it got blacklisted from trending. It probably would have been #1 on trending if blacklisting on trending didn't exist. This is one of the reasons I want the bug to be fixed, because highly anticipated projects like Brad's project can't get on trending anymore.

Even if the Scratch team knows/knew about this, I don’t know if they would fix it because they might want less known Scratchers to get views instead of famous Scratchers (no offense)
I think Scratch Team is trying to fix it, but, you can't fix something without knowing what is causing the problem. I believe the Scratch Team consists of moderators, developers, etc. Not just mods. So, it's not really Scratch Team's fault.

same thing really, just think of it as loves; 100 loves in 24hrs, but 250 in 7d.i think ik why, perhaps it got 100 views in 24hrs, but got 250 in 7d so um yeah, did the project get a lot of views for quite a while or did it just get that 100 and die? We're talking about loves, not views.

I mean like, the project never shows on trending ever. I'm not talking about it going down.same thing really, just think of it as loves; 100 loves in 24hrs, but 250 in 7d.i think ik why, perhaps it got 100 views in 24hrs, but got 250 in 7d so um yeah, did the project get a lot of views for quite a while or did it just get that 100 and die? We're talking about loves, not views.

yeah, why?I believe the re-sharing glitch happens because if you re-share your project, your loves and favorites don't reset, so Scratch assumes that you just gained a bunch of loves and favorites instantly, therefor putting your project on trending. I think projects that were re-shared are pushing other popular projects off trending. If I am right, then Scratch probably chooses to put people on trending not just by how many loves or favorites a project has, but also how quick it gets those loves and favorites.Yeah, it's based off how quick it gets them. I'm not sure why it was changed. If it was intentional, then it probably was to promote less popular scratchers, because all the popular scratchers kept getting on the trending page.yeah, why?I believe the re-sharing glitch happens because if you re-share your project, your loves and favorites don't reset, so Scratch assumes that you just gained a bunch of loves and favorites instantly, therefor putting your project on trending. The “promote less popular scratchers” thing doesnt work 100%… I still see several trash projects made by popular scratchers go on trending… im not saying all of their projects is trash, just that particular one.I'm not sure why it was changed. I'm going to close this topic now, because @RokCoder made a better topic on this glitch, and all the other glitches of the Trending page (https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/458541/) and it's talking about the glitches better than this topic is.
