I would like this idea because this would decrease the spam in the forums.
Sorry, you have to wait 90-180 seconds between posts.

For example, what if one user likes to spam? Suddenly, the Scratch Team makes it 90-Second Rule for Scratchers, and 180-Second Rule for New Scratchers.

People already complain about 60 seconds, everyone would go crazy if there was 90 seconds. Also, it's rejected:I would like this idea because this would decrease the spam in the forums. What spam?

10.1 Remove or change the 60 Second Rule The “60 Second Rule” refers to the fact that Scratchers need to wait 60 seconds after posting in the forums before they are able to post again (120 seconds for New Scratchers). While this may seem annoying, it is extremely effective against spam. Moreover, it can require users to carefully think about what they have typed before posting. You generally do not have to wait for very long between forum posts anyway; it is just 60 seconds. Changing it is also rejected; that is, the number of seconds will not be changed.

I agree. I have lots of problems with it cause I write lots of posts at once (in different topics). That isn't very much slower; and I don't see lots of spam in the forumsI would like this idea because this would decrease the spam in the forums. What spam?

I don't think it's rejected to increase it, but I also find it unlikely that would be implemented.

No support. The 60 second rule is annoying enough, and most spammers can’t find the forums.

No support. I appreciate that you're trying to decrease spam, but the 60-second rule is already really effective and nowadays most spam comes from new forumers that necropost, blockspam, etc. Plus, 60 second rule is pretty annoying already

It could even stop posts coming through if necessary. I don't mind 60 seconds but if this increasers you could basiccaly have 40 or so seconds of just waiting. I don't see many uses spamming in this way anyway. It just feels annoying and unecessary

the tldr is longer than the actual postThis could also cause new forumers to become disillusioned with the forums, and possibly limit the amount of discussion as people are forced to wait between posts for longer

Dear lord have mercy on a poor new scratcher account
In all honesty, this actually wouldn't affect me too much, since I usually spend more than a couple minutes thinking up my posts or finding topics to post on.
However, I don't see why this would be necessary. I think the 60/120-second rule does its job decently well as of now, and I don't believe that increasing it to 90/180-seconds would really have a meaningful impact besides inconveniencing and annoying people more frequently.
Edit: in a somewhat ironic twist of fate, the 120-second rule has reared its head the moment after I posted this. I stand by my original statement nonetheless.

No, just no.
As a quick typer, I often get hit with the 60-second rule, and it would be a nightmare to have to wait 30 more seconds. 90 seconds is just way too long, and it would just make an already dumb rule even worse to the point that it would just annoy everyone.
