Where's the LEGO WeDo 1.0 extension?

I can't afford other physical extensions. I only have the WeDo 1.0 from my 2.0 days.
I want to use the WeDo 1.0 on Scratch 3.0 BUT IT ISN'T THERE!? WHAT THE CLAWS!?

lego wedo v1 is outdated. I think you have to find the original editor on the lego education website

Yep, Lego WeDo V1 isn't supported anymore by Scratch 3. There weren't enough people using it to reprogram it to work with Scratch 3.

If you haven't already, you can still download the Scratch 2 Offline editor and use it with Lego WeDo 1.0: https://scratch.mit.edu/download/scratch2

Its in Scratch 2. In some ways Scratch 2 is better anyway, as the editor is making much better use of your screen estate.

Don't fret. You can use the 2.0 offline editor.

Adobe Flash, AIR, and other ports of Flash are ending support on new year's eve 2020. Scratch 1.4 (might run on java though) and Scratch 2.0 Offline run on Adobe AIR.

Just because support for Adobe AIR is ending doesn't mean Scratch 2 offline will stop working. End of support means there won't be any new updates (including security) and Adobe won't help you with troubleshooting. The Scratch 2 offline editor will continue to work perfectly fine. Scratch 1.4 is written with Squeak and will be completely unaffected.

Where's the LEGO WeDo 1.0 extension?

Hello all,
I've got 18 Lego WeDo 1.0 kits. I'd love to be able to give my students the ability to use them on the chromebooks. We had used them up to last year with retired mac books that got recycled unbeknownst to me. My students loved working with these. It seems from all that I have read that there aren't any options to use on chrome… I hope that I'm wrong…any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The best option available on Chrome without downloading anything is to use an older version of Scratch (available here). Note that the blocks for the WeDo are not enabled by default (instructions on how to enable them can be found here under “Accessing the Motor Blocks”).

There is no guarantee that this will work, the website is not affiliated with Scratch and the website may not be compatible with physical hardware.
