Projects usually go to the Popular tab after at least a week on Trending. They do not go to Popular right away, because they just came out.

So, PaddlerGames, do you know if this applies to reshared projects? It doesn't seem to due to a project I've seen, though I won't name it.

I don't think it applies to reshared projects, from what I've seen. Resharing your project bypasses this rule.

Intriguing…I wonder if unsharing and resharing the project within a minute would allow it to get on trending. That would be the best time; before it could ever get on trending, so no one assumes that you were trying to abuse the glitch.

Oh… this explains why crystalkeeper reshared a project with 2k+ loves but didn't get on trending… i asked him how and he said the glitch is not true…

No, I think it has to do with when the project was originally shared, on what day it was first shared.

Trending is completely broken and top remixed is also. I got 130 remixes in 4 days and didn't get on it.

I think it takes more than a few days to get on top remixed. Usually it takes a few weeks.

Yeah I agree, Cross site Scripting can crash websites VERY easily. Even i know ;3

I believe the re-sharing glitch happens because if you re-share your project, your loves and favorites don't reset, so Scratch assumes that you just gained a bunch of loves and favorites instantly, therefor putting your project on trending. I think projects that were re-shared are pushing other popular projects off trending. If I am right, then Scratch probably chooses to put people on trending not just by how many loves or favorites a project has, but also how quick it gets those loves and favorites.
