I want to put music in to a project. I only have spotify on my ipad, but not on my computer. And I think youtube will be the easiest option? pleas help.

To the OP, not really, you could try getting it from another source, as long as it's legal, try finding it in a Scratch Project and backpack it.

i think the /easiest/ option to get any audio or sound is to use a mp3 converter, but yes those can get you viruses

In order to put music from youtube to scratch, you have too download third party softwares

You would have to give credit though.

Find the song on SoundCloud and use a screen recorder

In legality, it's a “grey-area.” As long as you're using it for personal purposes (such as for Scratch), it's to some degree okay. If the converters were illegal in themself, they wouldn't be around, quite frankly..

Search a song you want to use in Scratch, on the project, click the sounds tab, right click the sound/music until you get three options. Click the export tab and it will download/export the music!

the audio file will most likely become a .wav file.

Seems like everyone is recommending software so i'll recommend one
To convert the video to audio, i suggest using blender,

Basically youtube did fine the site, but they withdrew it which makes it safe? I think ytmp3/ytmp4 is not allowed on scratch.
