Among Us
I once saw an interesting theory on the lore behind “Among Us” on a social media website. The theory is called “Among Us theory: The Crewmates are the REAL Villains”. Seems pretty legit to me. Details below. I have no idea if it was already posted here, nor do I know whether I will visit this topic again to view the replies.
After playing among us for over 2 months now, I began to notice some things with the maps in the game. All 3 maps are telling a story, in the order they were released, of an alien/aliens (depending on number of imposters) trying to kill all the crewmates before they were able to harvest and destroy their home planet. Heres how:
The imposters are shape-shifting aliens that originate from Polus, who look like the crewmates so they can blend and destroy, or “sabotage”, the crew, as evidenced by the kill screen where the imposter opens up an alien-like mouth to pierce the crewmate. They are also the only players who can use vents, most likely because the interior of the vents are too small/too contaminated for any normal crewmate to try using.
The first map, Skeld, is the ship used to pilot all crewmates. Whenever an imposter is ejected in Skeld, they don’t actually die. This is because the imposter is an alien which can “breath” without the need of Oxygen, as evidenced by the fact that the O2 alarm being unattended doesn’t result in a loss for the imposters. This means that any imposter ejected from the ship manages to float away, presumably to the second map in the game, Mira HQ.
Mira HQ is a sky base most likely used by the crewmates to take a pit-stop and refuel their ship. The eject screen on this map is a drop, which also doesn’t kill any imposter ejected.
The final map, Polus, is the imposter’s last attempt at defending their home. The map is already littered with holes in the ground due to all the excavation going on, resulting in the creation of some of the vents. This is also the only map with a Specimen room, most likely due to the fact that crewmates would be able to test an alien-like objects in hopes of finding a way to kill aliens. The eject screen on Polus is the imposter’s real death, as only Lava is able to kill them.
If the crewmates win, it’s safe to assume that Polus will be completely unearthed and all the aliens will die. If the imposters win, they’ve saved their home plant from invaders. Now you tell me who you’re rooting for.

But the whole point is that you're not supposed to tell thembut if you tell them, they would not sus you if they did notice that you were staying silentYou could tell everyone beforehand that you would stay silent the whole time I'm trying some social experiments in Among Us. First one: Is staying silent really that sus?
Answer: No, as long as you don't talk then suddenly go quiet. You would have to stay quiet the entire time or at least part of the time.
What I got: Joined a server, didn't say a word. I was really never considered sus for being quiet, and the others assumed I just didn't speak English. Game continues. I report a body, but I don't say a word (I was Crewmate, and wanted to skip over the body {since they would ask me where it was} but thought it would screw up the experiment.) Sure enough everyone else asked me where I found the body and I stayed quiet {A bit of my soul died that day}. They voted me out, seeming a little unsettled. Everytime I was imposter, they didn't suspect me once, except one time. They said it was my team-mate and said, “If not green, yellow!” Green left, so I voted yellow. 2 seconds later, they all say skip. Then someone says it was me, yellow asks me after the round why I voted them. I saw two people go up, and next thing you know, one of them was reported dead. I was in the same room (just finished lights) and after red said it was found in secutiry (room was electrical) I knew it was them, and voted them. No one thought a thing of it.
In conclusion: Staying silent can be good, if you don't talk then go silent.
What should I try next? XD I have way too much time on my hands
? That would ruin the experiment.so that you could see what they would do …
And that expiriment would be done separate of the staying quiet.

Yeah, I agree with you. I would order it as:
1, Skeld (idk it's just too classic for me, as I had no idea that other maps existed, so I played it for like weeks without changing settings or anything)
2. Mira HQ
3. Polus (vitals are cool and all, just that it's hard to navigate and get to places easily and stuff just kinda bothers me a bit~)

Can't agree personally, I really like Polus and haven't played enough Mira to form a proper opinion on it. Skeld is OK except for electrical though Polus is my least favorite map. Mira Lab HQ and The Skeld are great.

Polus is actually pretty good, the cameras and the vitals are really helpful when you're crewmate, the map is perfect for being impostor because it is so spread out. The only place where it is really hard to kill someone is the Specimen room, since getting out is a real pain for the impostor. Can't agree personally, I really like Polus and haven't played enough Mira to form a proper opinion on it. Mira HQ is okay, the only thing that is kinda annoying is that the Reactor/Lab is annoying to get to. What's really helpful though is the ‘Y’ Hallway. If you stand directly in the middle of it you can monitor EVERYTHING, and if an impostor vents you can tell.
Skeld… well it's too simple for me now. Played in it too much, but it's nice for beginners. Woah.. that's way longer than I have expected.
