As you may or may not know, the word “follow” is not allowed in usernames. Why not do the same thing with the word “hate”? I have seen several accounts that are called “IHATE(username)”. Of course I report them, but wouldn't it just be better if the word “hate” was not allowed in usernames at all? That would reduce the amount of hate accounts because the people making them would know right off the bat that kind of behavior is not allowed on Scratch.

Hate might be included in som words, so I think that you could just report them if you see them.

Huh, is cdn2 not working today? Well, if it isn't, this image was a funny joke of a stock photo man peering over wall labeling a lot of synonyms for hate, showing that it would be very difficult to make it impossible for a username to not show hatred of a particular user.

Plenty of innocent potential usernames contain the word ‘hate’, for example:
HatExhibit
NoahAteFood
ThroughATeacup
MathAtElementary

There's a lot more out there, this is what I came up with in a few minutes

I think the best option for this issue would be to report such usernames. I don't see much of a problem with the word hate being in usernames such as “Ihatemath1243” because that could be very common.

It also happens that a lot of chemical compound names contain hate that is pretty much all I could find when searching wordsa that contain hate. I think it is best probably to just reportt

No support, what is wrong with reporting? As others have pointed out, hate can be detected in innocent-sounding usernames such as MathAtElementary, so this wouldn't work.

Good point. for example, the word whatever.

Though I would agree that this is a good idea, Fdreerf did point out that “hate” has lots of synonyoms, and as other users said, “hate” is a part of many other words. Though censoring things that break the Community Guidelines is a good thing, sometimes simply reporting is the best course of action.

Too many innocent names could contain this. Besides, there are plenty of synonyms, and even those could be used innocently.

No support, that's what reporting is for. And there's also fdreerf's reply. Humans are better at recognizing offensive stuff than computers.

“There's nothing wrong with a user's opinion”…unless they are making a hate account of a certain user or group. I have seen many of those pop up recently.
