[❤️ UNDERTALE]
It was kinda confirmed MEGALOVANIA is Sans' theme—when he got into Smash Bros, his music track was MEGALOVANIA instead of anything else. I do believe, however, that it's Chara's theme, with Song That Might Play being Sans' actual theme. Chara's frequently associated with Megalo Strike Back, so it makes sense for MEGALOVANIA to be their theme.the song that's literally called Undertale.I wish people would stop associating MEGALOVANIA as the “UNDERTALE theme”. I think that the game is better represented by Hopes and Dreams, or maybe, I dunno,
I agree wholeheartedly, it's extremely frustrating. Sometimes, I have seen people asked/have asked people if they know about Undertale aand they go on and on about Sans and mEgAloVanIa- Although it would be better if people stopped thinking Megalovania is Sans' theme-

Both of those OSTs are pretty swell in my opinion, but my favorite track is Bonetrousle imo. I have an opinion on Undertale that most consider controversial. I think that by far the most effective, catchy and uplifting battle theme in the entire game is Hopes and Dreams, and Megalovania is the second most, for me. Please tell me whether you agree!

the song that's literally called Undertale.Yeah, most people don't really know what the song is. I wish people would stop associating MEGALOVANIA as the “UNDERTALE theme”. I think that the game is better represented by Hopes and Dreams, or maybe, I dunno,

the song that's literally called Undertale.Megalovania is pretty famous, but it's still associated w/ Sans most of the time when used. Take the skin in Smash, for example. I wish people would stop associating MEGALOVANIA as the “UNDERTALE theme”. I think that the game is better represented by Hopes and Dreams, or maybe, I dunno,

Oh. Well, I still think that every character has a song title somewhat relating to the characters themselves, but MEGALOVANIA has nothing to do with Sans, and everything to do with Chara…

The motif is in the second bar of sans. The ever-so-recognisable sequence of notes present in MEGALOVANIA can be heard if you listen closely.Wait.

Is it Sans' theme after all?
Does it? When?!
Do you hear the similarity?

Yeah, a lot of motifs throughout the game are used across multiple tracks. For example, Spider Dance's motif is associated with Napstablook and Mad Dummy's fight tracks, and maybe a few other OSTsThe motif is in the second bar of sans. (this definition is pasted) Could someone explain what motifs are?
a short succession of notes producing a single impression; a brief melodic or rhythmic formula out of which longer passages are developed.

A Could someone explain what motifs are?leitmotif is a recurring section of notes that appear across different sets of music. For example, the Once Upon a Time motif can be heard in many different tracks in the soundtrack.

I turned it up a little, but all I heard was something that sounds very slightly like Megalovania, but it's not actually a full motif…?
