Here, lemme rewrite it for you :
I think the scratch login process should be more secure, because how you login is only by using a password, and a username
My suggestion is that there will be an extra layer of scurity implemented to scratch, such as a CAPTCHA or you have to verify your email before signing in from a new account before signing in from a new device

The ST are apparently leaning against this, since it does pose problems for disabled people.
I do think the benefits outweigh the issues, honestly though.

I guess this would make Scratch more secure, but it would be slightly annoying because I'm terrible at solving Captchas and I've logged in from other devices about 8 times.
Also, this might be irrelevant but sometimes I sign into Scratch using my TV (don't ask) and I don't know if Captchas work on a TV.

There aren't exactly a million people hacking your acount on scratch with bots so really there isn't a massive chance but you could make a checkbox on signup asking if you are disabled which if checked would turn off the captcha

The best security is called “don't be stupid”. Here's what you do: don't have a stupid password. This one-step program will keep your account safe from any attack. This is because some images are hosted through cubeupload, which by default used to give a http link. This is fixed now, as they give you https links now, but old images will say insecure. Attackers can’t get to you, don’t worry.Strongly disagree. There is no way to verify you are the owner of an account on Scratch when you sign in from a new device. For example, Discord makes you solve captcha and verify your email. Roblox makes you solve 4 minute captcha. In my opinion, The scratch login is very insecure.

They quoted a post by fdreerf to show that Scratch doesn't need to have 2 step authentication and the like, you just need to have a strong, not stupid password. Passwords are like a hacker's nightmare.Um, What? The best security is called “don't be stupid”. Here's what you do: don't have a stupid password.
