When I share my project and search for it in the search bar, how come my project won't come up in the search results?
Whenever I share a project, I can never find it when I search for it. Are my projects actually shared?

From looking at your profile page, I can see that you currently have three shared projects:
-New Year
-30 Seconds with…
-Water Polo Shootout
Don't worry if you can't find these projects by searching for them; it takes a while for the search function to recognize the existence of a project (I don't know the specific mechanics of why that is–ask someone with more knowledge of how search engines function). The specific time frame can vary, but it seems to be much shorter for forum posts than it is for projects or profile pages. When I search “csturtle” in the search bar, I get links to forum posts you've made, but not to your projects or your profile.
If, however, you have another project that you thought was shared, you may want to double-check. Your “What I've Been Doing” feed on your profile page says that you shared a project called “color matcher”, but I can't access that project. Have you unshared that project?

Also the project normally has to be viewed/loved a certain number of times for it to be recognized by the scratch servers.
Hope I helped!!!!

It's just the terrible search system. You could search for something DIRECTLY with the exact letters and numbers and capitalization and it wouldn't show up, trust me. Even for users. It won't work like that. The views don't matter.

I agree. How does a project get views if people can't find it by searching for something they're interested in. For example, I've just done a train set project which doesn't appear in the search at all. I've got it into a couple of studios where people might find it but anyone wanting to see what others have done in this area might not know to search for studios. It's just the terrible search system. You could search for something DIRECTLY with the exact letters and numbers and capitalization and it wouldn't show up, trust me. Even for users. It won't work like that. The views don't matter.
(I have a few followers and am getting a reasonable number of views as it happens but do know getting views can be hard enough without the search ignoring you!)

Actually, we use a custom Google search engine (think of it as a shortcut version to Google that is commanded to spit out only results for Scratch), so the speed at which a project is indexed is affected by how fast Google indexes projects. This can involve a variety of factors, but how much a project is loved/viewed is not really the determining factor. Also the project normally has to be viewed/loved a certain number of times for it to be recognized by the scratch servers.

That's pretty much the answer.Actually, we use a custom Google search engine (think of it as a shortcut version to Google that is commanded to spit out only results for Scratch), so the speed at which a project is indexed is affected by how fast Google indexes projects. I have log in already. I went into My Stuff. But how come I cannot go into my project? It says:
ERROR.The project has failed to load and the Scratch Team has been notified. Press OK to leave this page.
Thank you

Please read the thread before posting. As explained by cheddargirl, it takes a while for a project to show up in the search. Please be patient.Actually, we use a custom Google search engine (think of it as a shortcut version to Google that is commanded to spit out only results for Scratch), so the speed at which a project is indexed is affected by how fast Google indexes projects. This can involve a variety of factors, but how much a project is loved/viewed is not really the determining factor. Again, please read before posting, because if you had, your question would already be answered! ^^Actually, we use a custom Google search engine (think of it as a shortcut version to Google that is commanded to spit out only results for Scratch), so the speed at which a project is indexed is affected by how fast Google indexes projects.
