so, i'm making a game. that's right, i, cheesy, am making an entire out-of-scratch game.

what will the game be like?

imagine genshin impact, runescape, and some other rpgs mixed into a bowl, sprinkle in some of the humor and occasional darkness from undertale, add a measuring cup of my own imagination, and then pour a bucket of random generator names into it.

so, basically, this is an rpg where you can either play as a human, a ball boy(imagine kirby but in some different colors), and another race i haven't thought of, and defeat enemies, buy stuff, mine, dig for fossils, complete quests, learn spells, gain passive skills, cook, bond with the npcs(don't worry there is no dating in the game), go fishing, play minigames, grow crops, and more!

don't expect it to come out anytime soon, though, since it is still in the concept phase and has literally 0 lines of code written for it.

feel free to give ideas or ask me about stuff that's in the game(but i won't spoil anything).

i managed to get some of the dialogue and taunts(not code, unfortunately, just the taunts and dialogue) done for the elite slime chef(one of the bosses).

if i didn't completely stink at drawing humans i probably would have drawn some concept art for some of the npcs by now

i started working on the dialogue for tory hoodweasel, one of the npcs that you can get a quest line from(and she's also the owner of the food store).

i've started working on tutorial man's(the person who gives you the tutorials) lines, but it'll probably be a while before i finish his lines because he has a lot to say(he's the tutorial person after all, and this game has a lot of mechanics).

fun fact: in the game, there are these things called “spirit fruits” that give you special bonuses, and they're all based off of gods. you can only have one spirit fruit, though, so choose wisely.

the spirit fruits, the gods they're based off of, and their bonuses are:

apple(based off of applun, the god of the earth): twice as much health healed from apples, twice as much ore from mining
orange(based off of orangu, the god of transportation): twice as much health healed from oranges, twice as much movespeed
pear(based off of pearon, the god of war): twice as much health healed from pears, twice as much attack
grapes(based off of grapten, the god of preservation): twice as much health healed from grapes, twice as much luck when digging for fossils
banana(based off of bananil, the god of health and disease): twice as much health healed from bananas, twice as much health
cherry(based off of cherrubi, the god of animals): twice as much health healed from cherries, pets are twice as powerful
raspberry(based off of raspberite, the god of friendship and love): twice as much health healed from raspberries, twice as much bond with the npcs
blueberry(based off of bluebis, the god of the ocean): twice as much health healed from blueberries, twice as much fish from fishing
strawberry(based off of strawberria, the god of agriculture): twice as much health healed from strawberries, twice as much crops from farming
watermelon(based off of watermel, the god of wealth): twice as much health healed from watermelons, twice as much items and gold gotten from enemies
lemon(based off of lemonin, the god of protection): twice as much health healed from lemons, twice as much defense
grapefruit(based off of grapfrul, the god of knowledge and wisdom): twice as much health healed from grapefruits, twice as much exp gained
peach(based off of pechan, the god of bargaining): twice as much health healed from peaches, twice as much cheaper items from stores

there's also another god that's based off of a fruit, but w e d o n t s p e a k o f t h a t o n e.

there's also a zodiac based off of the spirit fruits.

tomatal(the god of nonsense): very silly and dumb, not well liked by the rest of the fruit-based gods. followers of tomatal are called “tomatens”.

traditions of tomatens: throw tomatoes at each other, burn lemons in a huge fire(tomatal doesn't like lemonin), drink large amounts of tomato soup on new year's eve.

despite tomatoes being a fruit, there will be no spirit fruit for the tomato, nor a spot on the nonsensica zodiac.
