Adding comments to Scratch scripts
How can comments be added to script allowing students to comment on their work? I have searched and cannot discover how it is done. I have seen comment boxes on the OCR Entry Level Computing task, but cannot figure out how it is done. Help please!

Oh, this is easy:
right click it, a menu will appear,
select add comment
Hope this helps
Let's say you want to add a comment on the green flag block,
right click it, a menu will appear,
select add comment
Hope this helps

Adding comments to Scratch scripts
When I right click all I get is help, duplicate and delete. I have tried this several times before and just did after reading the post thinking I might have forgotten something. Still no comment box available. Is this only on newer versions? The only way perhaps is to import a text box or print screen then add comments, though if we can comment directly it would be great.
Thanks anyway ☺

Or Windows, GNU/Linux, or another OS ? Do you use MAC OS or MAC OS X?

You could try holding shift while right clicking, that fixes a lot of problems.

If you're using Scratch 1.3-1.4, right click the lined background in the scripts pane and select “add comment”. Then you can drag the comment onto a block to attach it.

I use windows. THANK YOU djdolphin - it works! Saves all the copying, pasting and editing that the pupils would have had to do.

Nothing. It's a place for you to write notes and stuff that is ignored by the interpreter. what does a comment do?

It's not a necropost if it contributes, afaik. The question was unanswered.MegaApuTurkUltra, you just necropostedNothing. It's a place for you to write notes and stuff that is ignored by the interpreter. what does a comment do?
I didn't look at the date, and for some reason this popped up as unread at the top of my topics list. I assumed it was new content
