When I try to record something it says they need my permission how do I give them my permission? Can you please walk me through the steps?

Are you on Chrome? If so, go into Site Settings and allow the site “Scratch” to access the microphone.

You’re on Chrome. Go into Site Settings for scratch.mit.edu and allow Microphone and Camera permissions so whenever you want to record something or take a picture, it won’t ask. (hope it helps!)

Well this was necroposted alot

From experience, it's either because of restrictions on a school computer or you just need to re-allow it
anyways should this be closed?

What are you using it for, loudness or recording your voice?? If you are trying to record your voice, it should, do you use google chrome? If so, go into site settings on Chrome and allow Scratch.mit.edu to access the microphone, this applys to using the loudness block and recording your voice, and it will not ask for permission after. If it dosen’t work, please quote me, I hope it helped.

i don't know what u mean by the second sentence, i am using a device at home although i have a school computer

When i click the arrow it does not work at all so i can't use the microphone!
What do i do if this happens!
So any idea how to fix this mystery anyone!
Cause i will never be able to use microphone again!
But i searched it up on google! and it said:
Click/tap Allow to let Scratch record audio. If there is no pop-up, go to your browser settings and add scratch.mit.edu to the list of whitelisted sites to use your microphone. that you use on Google? It is your tablet that has the microphone, not Google.Apr 8, 2019
