They sound pretty much the same tho
Lemme just explain it more, once, i made a request, i wanted a few sounds so my games look more alive, so i made a request, when i come back soon, i see it waaaaay behind, i had to bump it, and bump it, and bump it without a rest, so i gave the link to a shop dude, the dude in the shop called it advertising and said it wasnt in the form of an order, so i had to put it in an order form, but gave up as that wasted a lot of valuable time. So u can see why requests are just as important.
Here's the thing that happened to me: I ordered at a shop one day for a banner and they gave it to me in less than 10 hours (Probably 5, idk)

It's not like shops would magically disappear.

What do you mean? And btw when I made an actual request in the Requests Forums it was there for like 3-4 hours

the suggestion isn't to remove shops
its to let people actually make their own topics in requests without being brought down by the constant bumping of shops

also, shops are inconvenient compared to just making your own topic

Sorry guys but I was banned, apparently for being mean. Although I can't see where, I'm sorry. But you can see that I've changed, that's why I try to add these smileys and (try) to add humour. But fine, I'm sorry.

I've noticed that one of you Called me stubborn last time, and I'm sure that the Scratch Team saw it, plus the “person” was a forum helper, I'm not so happy about this.

They called people who make individual topics stubborn, not you specifically

No support, Shops are very good, they're the one that helped me in many stuff in Scratch (Including my old sig, my collabs logo, my old pfp, etc.) and I wouldn't want it gone, do you realize how many shops there are? Many shop-workers (Including me) work hard to make their customer happy, spending hours and even days to make the customers request(s), and if they're remove many Scratchers will be sad because all their hard work is gone, it's not a good idea imo, plus even if you make a request in the Request Forums all you'll get is Shop Owners posting in your topic: “You can get one here!” or “Come to my shop to buy it!”, Shops are a very simple thing, it's nothing complicated.
I don't think this is about removing shops.
Then what is it suggesting? What issue should they fix?
You're not so welcome here since you're being slightly rude, please, be co-operative here.

Define rude

MTM828 wrote:

well, since we're here to chat about this, we can find a solution that way, so don't tell me i don't have a solution, help us come up with one.
You are meant to come up with a solution before making a topic, not just point out the ‘problem’

We aren't stalking you, everytime you make a new topic or someone posts something on it, it goes to the front page, where everyone can see it, who said anything about mass reporting

You wouldn't have wasted that time, if you had just done it the way you were supposed to in the first place

So, we're getting some confusion about the purpose of the “Requests” thread, and finding a lot of threads being misplaced here. Scimonster made a huge helpful list about which requests go where, so I'm reposting it (with a few edits so it fits the current 2.0 forums). Hopefully this topic will clear up which requests goes where. :)

  • Help with Scripts — Requesting help with your scripts
  • Show and Tell — Requesting views and/or feedback on a project and/or studio (formerly called a “gallery”)
  • Project Ideas — Requesting ideas and/or feedback on ideas for projects
  • Collaboration — Requesting members for your collaboration, and other things with collaborations (although advanced collaborations go in Advanced Topics)
  • Requests — Requesting media like a signature, music, or art; creating a request shop for those items

That doesn't mean it can't change.

Just because I say a stoplight is red doesn't mean it stays red forever.

I agree with you saying that Shops kind of take up the entire Requests forum. I agree with a way to get actual requests noticed, but how would the Scratch Team do this? What @Paddle2See meant by ‘Be More Specific’ is that you are only suggesting the Scratch Team fix the issue, but you aren't actually explaining how they would do that, which is what the ST wants you to do.

(By the way, you are being Nice and Respectful here. Good job!)

I think they meant a temporary ban. The other topic, the one I think they said they got banned from, was on the same account. I think they meant they got temporary banned, and the ban is now over.

After thinking really hard about this, I think I have made my decision. I think that instead, shops can only be bumped to the top of the 2nd page. When you create or edit the OP, it will give you the option to sign as a shop. If you create a shop without signing, a moderator would do it for you, and not with a smile.

Don't temp bans take 3,5 days or longer

Anyways, I'm going to close this since we've (I hope) all stated our opinions, the downsides and upsides we notice and what we can do about it. I'm going to close this since the Scratch Team can take their time while taking decisions about this suggestion.
