This was about editing comments, not posts, and seeing comment edits, but I think you should read the post, as the same difficulties pop up.

Would this be toggle-able? I've seen people who put google drive links, or name and shame someone in their posts, realize they shouldn't have, then edit it out. With this feature you'd be able to see the link.

It appears that you just edited your original post. I don't think that you read what I wrote correctly.

It's NOT a duplicate, if you even saw it. I asked @Za-Chary* about editing comments if we allowed viewing comment edits, and this is just a post explaining why it would still be rejected. The same difficulties still pop up about edit history.

I had honestly forgotten about this topic, and now I see the problems. I edited it because i'm not sure what I can do at this point, because I don't feel compelled to defend the suggestion anymore.

The ST could make it so that you can't see edits that are before an edit by a moderator.

What if a user shared personal information, realized that they shouldn't share it, and then edited it to remove the personal information? Wouldn't it be easier to not show it at all instead of it being accessible via edit history until someone reports it?

It's the same problem with comments. You can't edit those.

Yeah. It happens a lot. If this was added, I could definitely name at least one person that would get their exact location revealed. Big no support.

This looks more like a fit for ST

Honestly, I usually only edit edit my posts if I made a stupid wording error, or made a typo, or if I wish to add important information to my post. I'm not sure about anyone else, but nobody would gain anything from viewing earlier versions of my posts. I would find it plain embarrassing.

I feel like only the st and owner of post should be able to see the history, I mean, who would want others to see your post that misread the entire suggestion- and the number of trolls is much less than normal people

I don't think this is much useful feature. Plus, it may take up more server space.

could I turn off history and make it so nobody can see my post history?

Doesn't that beat the point of it if it's to be able to see people who are trolling/bullying's history?
