Hi guys! As I was falling asleep last night I had an epiphany, What if I could make a dark mode bookmarklet with CSS filters?lol So I set out to do do. Below is the bookmarklet I made:

I removed the code because it's evidently not allowed :(

It works using CSS filters. First I inverted everything, which wouldn't make a great dark mode, images would look terrible, the colors would be messed up, a lot more too. But then I realized that by applying the filter I could invert the brightness but not the color! After that just some more simple testing and styling (including forcing all text to be white, which is sort of annoying, but the only easy way to do it) I finished it! It looks great everywhere that is light normally but don't try it on websites that are already in dark mode! Below are my results:

Anyways! Thanks for checking out my post! I'm pretty proud of this bookmarklet because, well, it's a bookmarklet! Sure browser extensions can do better Not linking them, chill But I think it's pretty good!

any code that could theoretically work is extremely dangerous to be posted on the advanced topics section of a forum about a coding site because it could do bad things.
