I've suggested this before on some of my first days of the forums.

@Za-Chary* gave me feedback on that idea. I'll share it, and add onto it.

Imagine I take someone's sprite and change it. Let's say you take the sprite and change it. Would it credit the first users, me, or both of us?

If it credits only the original user, I lose out on proper credit, and if only I get credit, the original user gets proper credit. If we both get proper credit, it will be very difficult for most computers to keep track of.

Now imagine I make a sprite, someone changes it, then someone changes it, then someone changes it, then someone changes it, then someone changes it, then you change it. This crediting system would cause a computer crash.

This seems like a good idea but there's one flaw: what if you only backpacked like a tiny script and deleted most of it?

Support. I imagine a lot of people forget to give credit for backpacked scripts so this would be a very useful addition for well-meaning Scratchers.
