So I was making an animation about parents, and I was thinking about parents caning kids. Are about parents caning a kid or a teacher caning students with a rattan like the picture below allowed?
I know it might not be an accepted way to teach kids in the Western Culture, but that's how parts of (or the whole?) Asians teach kids.
Oh, another question, are you allowed to make the kids show marks (exaggerated or not) of being beaten?

paddle-to-the-butt slapstick comedy was what they did as school punishments in the old days, so maybe it would be a good replacement for caning.

if its educational for history and maybe comedy yesUh, like how some kid's parents want to punish him nowadays. Not a few hundred years ago. These things still happens today. (I got in a little fight with my mum today, I'm afraid that she will use that… Fortunately she didn't lol.)

I have Mexican parents and this is relatable. It can probably be used in a comedic context.

Wouldn't this be child abuse?Laws and traditions are different in different places of the world. Most western cultures consider this abuse, others consider it acceptable.

Wouldn't this be child abuse?NOTE: The following are all in my opinion and can b wrong/biased.
It depends. In Western culture, people promote “Love and Education”, which means loving a kid ad treating them with great care will make kids come out as good people. However, in Asian culture, people tend to think that parents have to be strict to have the kid to be good in the future.
I'm giving you some Chinese proverbs:
严父出孝子,慈母多败儿 - A tough father fosters a dutiful son but a kind mother makes a wastrel
棍棒之下出孝子 - Spare the rod spoil the child.

Okay, so beating a child for the sake of making him obey some rules shouldn't be under this rule, right? It shouldn't be considered “child abuse”, I think.Child abuse is against the laws in china cording to this.Wouldn't this be child abuse?NOTE: The following are all in my opinion and can b wrong/biased.

China is not the only country that uses Chinese. I think China used to beat children whenever their kids break rules a few hundred years ago, as it's a proverb, it might not be showing lives nowadays.

I think it depends on the severity of the punishment. A single light tap on the hand would be allowed, but for those that chase you everywhere and beats your whole body, including the “private places”? Not so much.

the chinese government is hypocritical, trust me I live there. According to the law chinese are not allowed to beat their children, but in actual practice it happens and nobody complains. If it's really bad then the ccp will get involved but the really bad is probably best defined as nsfl, which is not allowed on scratch. Don't believe me? Ok, my homeroom teacher slaps her students (not in the face) when they annoy her, is that enough? no? hmmm… Did you know that they still produce canes with the dao de jing (a “bible” about morals) printed on it for *tsk* *tsk*? No? Still not convinced? One of their “communist ideals” is “democracy”. Still arguing about me for them being hypocrites? heh.Child abuse is against the laws in china cording to this.Wouldn't this be child abuse?NOTE: The following are all in my opinion and can b wrong/biased.

I believe the Phrase ‘Spare the rod spoil the child’ was used in the past in Britain. I imagine you would not be allowed to promote beating however Scratch tends to be ok with most things in a historical context and also you could possibly make a project denouncing corporal punishment. I don't think you would be allowed to show it getting too violent though.Wow lol.the chinese government is hypocritical, trust me I live there.
