scratch is a website to learn to code.

not a website to develop a social media addiction

It would be SUPER fun if you could set up a little area for you and the people you are following where you can post Scratch related stuff, your own projects, studios, ideas, stuff you liked on Scratch, etc. Then, you could like and comment the posts, just like on Facebook! Who supports this?
Cool idea, but I don't know. Seems like it's a bit too big an idea, you know?

Oh, awesome safety idea!
When you post something, it won't appear until the Scratch team accepts it and puts it in. Same with comments, but not with likes, of course.
this puts more pressure on the ST. Instead, maybe the ST could do one of these 2 things:

1. Assign helpers “like forum helpers” to pass and or reject.

2. Let scratchers work together to build an A.I. processing system that filters without issues
I think the option 1 is a LOT easier. Or, maybe, the ST can program it to filter out swearing, inappropriate pictures, mean words (so filter words like HATE), etc.
Do you know how hard it is to filter images?

Also, Scratch is not a social media platform.

This would be a lot. but basically, (I don't know if this is what the creator thinks) is that it would replace about me and WIWO. Instead, there would be a scroll able feed of posts and a full screen mode to increase performance. You can include links to projects that have a preview, a post of words and a photo.

To answer, I would asume that ST would have to look at images. There would also be a report button on all the posts. I do agree with the second thing you said though.

I guess I agree with you…maybe we shouldn't add this.

All chat has to be public. If you're following only a few people then this could cause PMing.

1. It is somebodies feed so they can't PM because the commenters can only write to each other with around 2 minutes per post and the person who owns the feed can only post things.
2. If it is a duplicate, why isn't there a link to one anywhere in your post?

They may be attempting to find it. In which, they should say if they are, or they are too lazy to find it or they cannot find it.

Hmm…this could be hard. I mean, wouldn't it be fine though? MOST people are behaving well with commenting and posting projects, so shouldn't this end up fine too?

Exactly. Most. Not all. Which means there would still be bad stuff (I see advertising in comments very frequently)

No support, this is a Coding Website for kids and it would increase the social media aspect of Scratch like what @imabanana22 said.

This would most likely replace the activity section. Basically, instead of showing activity, it would be a litle thing with posts that you can scroll up and down on. Only the user can post, but there will be a thumbs up button for viewers. The user can post comments, with embed youtube videos ( on the scratch media player) and they can use emojis and just post something. Only the 10 most recent posts will show. I don't see the social media part of this.

P.S. ershumyatskaya correct me If I am wrong.
