Think about all 1 million Scratch users. Would most of them think the same?
Maybe not most, but I'd say there's enough. And it's not like anyone would be particularly against it. I mean, they may consider it a waste of time and resources, but I don't think anyone would consider it an overly negative idea ignoring those two constraints.

Scratch would have to add something to translate itself to JS, which would be really hard considering you'd need a canvas, objects, events, everything in the same place, etc…
