How do I make the Scratch editor less laggy?

You can read the title. My question is how do I make the scratch editor less laggy? I'm on a chromebook and I have a couple sounds and all and when I try to save it, it displays the “Aw snap!” screen for Google Chrome. I'm on a chromebook. Here are the stats of my computer if its the problem with my computer.

STATS:
Version 84.0.4147.136 (Official Build) (32-bit) CTL Chromebook

I don't see how I could help you, sorry. Do you have another computer with better specs?

Uh, the title says the editor, not the project itself…

I don't. My cousin has a Windows 10 but she won't let me use it so I'm stuck with my Old Chromebook that doesn't recieve any updates

Rip.

Honestly, all you can do is either upgrade your specs or wait for some major optimisation update. You can also consider giving Scratch the highest allocation priority, but idk how that works on a Chromebook.

Beyond that, we cannot help.

Try not making the editor full screen?

AFAIK, that won't fix anything.

But it might work. Make sure you've exhausted every other option before declaring hopelessness!

Try downloading and using the offline editor - it's less laggier and hopefully should help.

Aw man.

Well, do you have a lot of tabs and/or windows open? Try closing any unneeded tabs and windows, does Scratch lag less?

That's all the tips I have!
