Removing this sticky.
never seen a topic suggesting a sticky removal but
So, in the HwS forum, there is a sticky called "How to make a better project". It's heavily outdated, with images being replaced with tinypic's nice message, bad grammar, awful organization, things you don't want in a sticky.
I don't see how this topic helps you, as most of the questions don't relate to scripts, and the ones that do aren't that helpful. This should be unstickied, or at least revamped, because it's not really helping most.
I don't know if another sticky should replace it, or it should just be unstickied.

Why not just report it and give your reasons for it being unstickied?

Well, it's probably faster this way. Why not just report it and give your reasons for it being unstickied?

Great point, however I did that. Why not just report it and give your reasons for it being unstickied?

I just read it- I agree that it should be unstickied, but probably replaced.
on a side note it also encorages kids to rip off nintendo games and nintendo is notorious for not being afraid to issue dmca takedowns for even the slightest reference, let alone a whole fangame,

That topic is the Rosetta Stone for the 1.4 language. Being copied from an original 1.4 topic with the early 2.0 languages later in the topic is a vital landmark for historians and linguists alike.
That topic is actually the most viewed sticky and most likely topic in HwS, which is probably because of its immense age but also it does contain helpful information that is riddled with clunky sentences and strange grammar, as well as the substantial lack of detail in general. A topic like that should exist as I can see the benefit from it, but definitely not in the state that it's currently in.

I think a topic that would be up to replace the sticky would be a guide on how to help others. It would make the quality of helper's posts better IMO.

lol. Anyway, it's like a rosetta stone that's only partly translated. Some information is readable and helpful, however, most of it still doesn't make sense, has bad grammar, has wrong information, etc. That topic is the Rosetta Stone for the 1.4 language. Support, it is outdated and a new sticky that is more clean and up to date would be a good replacement.

The HwS sticky is still kind of useful in some cases and can potentially help Scratchers on projects. However, I do agree that some of it is off-topic and that some of the pictures are now obsolete. I would replace it with a more organized, on-topic, updated, useful sticky. Support.

Thanks for the supports Yeah, that sticky looks like an 8 year old made it. It's not well organized, and, like you said, has horrible grammar.
Besides, it's not that hard for ST to remove a post.
Support!

I suppose if this does get unstickied, there would be a sticky up for grabs.

I disagree. If a sticky is unhelpful to the point where it must be unstickied, I don't see what reviving it under a different user would do. Thanks for the supports

I see that it's unhelpful as is, but with some modifications it could be better. But I don't know, removing it could also be an option and make way for new, better stickies.I disagree. In this case, it is unhelpful in the sense that it's grammar is bad, it's outdated, and a couple of other flaws within the topic itself. Reviving it could fix those issues and make it helpful again.I disagree.
