Ima be a nice person here and bump your suggestion for you–
Support, it would be easier to make certain types of games where you would need a bigger, smaller or different-shaped stage for them to work better, as you touched on in the OP.
also guys a workaround isn't a reason to no support, especially if said workaround is a lot more complicated than the suggestion

Ima be a nice person here and bump your suggestion for you–i've been saying that for such a long time, even a scratch team member agreed
Support, it would be easier to make certain types of games where you would need a bigger, smaller or different-shaped stage for them to work better, as you touched on in the OP.

I like this idea. It could help novice scratchers who need bigger areas for their games (such as a bullet hell type game) get them without jumping through many hoops, or being made fun of elitist scracthers on the help with scripts forum or going to a third party site like youtube

A circular stage could be quite interesting, but I don't how that would work.

What if we added a vertical rectangular stage?
So people can make mobile games and stuff. That would be interesting.

Have we discussed what will happen to project thumbnails yet? Because that's pretty important.

Well, the thing is, the shape of the thumbnail is the shape of the stage.Have we discussed what will happen to project thumbnails yet? Because that's pretty important.I think the size will just change, along with the stage
And it would look wonky if some projects in the Explore page, for example, were 4:3, while others were 16:9 and others were 1:1. How will the formatting of the Explore page, user's projects page, and studio's projects page, etc. work and look?

idk if that's possible but that would be the best solution

I semi-support.
We would need to know the x and y of the square so we can make good projects with it..
And a triangular option would be pretty cool too-
But I feel like this would mess up studios or the front page…

The thumbnail can just have transparent filler added to it so it's rectangular shaped.
