a badge or a special emoji you can use. (still thinking of some)What kind of signature upgrades?Wait, he has a point. What if when you reach a certain number of points, you earn things like signature upgrades? It isn't digital currency because you don't loose anything after getting the reward (but you can loose the reward if you loose the points …hmmm) so there could be little things you can earn from helping. That would take away the point showing which would stop fame fighting!Rewards = Digital Currency = RejectedBut what rewards would those be?wait they never said we couldnt give rewards just nor currencyIf this actually got implemented into Scratch, I might stop helping the Forums all together. Why? Maybe a toggle points button to hide of show?

Those could be at 250 and then at 500 you earn the original mascot emoticons and then at 1000 your siggy automatically has a little gold badge in a place where others can't replicate itone reward is gonna be a special emojilike the cat emoticons

Some other users have suggested Scratch achievements such as “Created 50 projects” with the idea that this would give users motivation to keep using Scratch. However, this sort of idea does not really fit in with the purpose of Scratch. Some users may use their achievements to determine that they are “better” than other users. However, you are allowed to make achievements in your own games, if you like.Because if you can't remove it, it seems like an achievement. Plus you can just use images instead of emojis.

How would the images be harder to use? And it doesn't matter if you can toggle it, it's like an achievement if it's a gold badge you get at 1000 points. Plus, the emojis would be achievements too.You could toggle it in your siggy editor and images are harder to use.But that would be likeThose could be at 250 and then at 500 you earn the original mascot emoticons and then at 1000 your siggy automatically has a little gold badge in a place where others can't replicate itone reward is gonna be a special emojilike the cat emoticonsSome other users have suggested Scratch achievements such as “Created 50 projects” with the idea that this would give users motivation to keep using Scratch. 1. Simple, meaningless numbers actually tend to divide the community, as demonstrated by loves or followers.
2. How do you know whether the post is actually helping out on the forums, rather than it being a bunch of spam? Sure, a moderator could view it, but if they did that for every post, they'd never get a break.
3. This has no purpose other than bragging rights. As I said earlier, the number has no meaning to it. What does it do? Nothing.

I'm not quite sure you read either #1 or #3 correctly. Sure, it could be only visible to you – but it is still a meaningless number that does nothing.

0.8. This May be Useful, However People could Easily Feel Ahead of Others Just Because of the Points and this may be Rejected:
8.7 Digital currency or Scratch achievements
Some form of digital currency which allows you to “buy” Scratch features (with real or fake money) would not really benefit the educational value of Scratch; after all, there is not really anything that you can buy. While there could be features that are only unlockable via digital currency, this does not really contribute to Scratch's purpose of being a programming language available for everyone. However, you can make digital currency in your own projects, if you like. A very good detailed analysis for why digital currency should not be on Scratch can be found on this post.

I feel like this would cause a lot of competition, and studios like “Rainbow cat badge only club” and a bunch of other stuff like that. We don't really need this, and I only see cons. No support.
