Can Scratch still delete an unshared project that is inappropriate?
I have a couple of unshared projects that could be considered “inappropriate”. Can Scratch still delete them even if they aren't shared?

I don't believe so, but I can't be sure.

I'd think they could, but won't, because they won't know about them until they're reported, and they can't be reported until they're shared.

The Scratch Team can delete an inappropriate unshared project, but they don't. They will only delete it if it's illegal, not if it's inappropriate.

But nobody can see the project, so nobody would know it existed, so no one would report it.

I saw a topic in the suggestions forum about this once. It was about making it so they can't do that, because that's kind of a privacy issue or whatever
so I think so

Can Scratch still delete an unshared project that is inappropriate?
The Scratch Team can see your unshared projects and they may delete one if they see a really inappropriate project. If they aren't really bad, you should be fine, however. They don't usually delete shared project, just unshare them. I would think they would use similar rules for deleting a shared project as for deleting unshared projects.

I feel like it is illegal and can only be done by a law enforcement investigation (like if the FBI was investigating someone and wanted to see their projects)

No, I'm pretty sure ST can access your unshared projects. This is, after all, their website.

I'm sure they could, but they won't. It's not like it matters, since no one will see them anyways. I mean, if it had something illegal in it they might, but they have no way to know unless it's reported, and why would you report your own, unshared projects?

Good to know. I was thinking of putting my projects on a different site while still using Scratch's programming language, they have mild swearing.

They'll only remove if it has illegal content, like instructions on how to build a bomb.

Can Scratch still delete an unshared project that is inappropriate?
Yes, they can. However, they very rarely delete unshared projects. They might delete it if it's illegal, but no. However, if you have unshared inappropriate content, they will very likely never see that unless you share it, or you post multiple inappropriate things.
