The SCP Foundation (Special Containment Procedures!)
This one sounds really interesting. I like it! I decided to write an SCP for the SCP I had an idea for a while ago on this topic(feel free to give critisism because this is my first time doing something like this):
Item #: 6239
Disruption Class: Vlam
Risk Class: Caution
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6239 is to be kept in a 3 by 3 meter room, and should be guarded by only one guard. People who go near the room are forbidden from thinking about dangerous things like large disasters, nukes, and certainly not other SCPs.
Description: SCP-6239 is a small black tablet with white corners. The SCP has the special ability to take the thoughts of two different people, and combine them together. These combinations are refered to as SCP-6239-#, with the number changing depending on the order in which it was created. These combinations range from harmless to downright city-destroying. Any instances of SCP-6239-# with potentially city-destroying properties are to be destroyed as soon as possible. If there are more than two people in the area, SCP-6239 will only pick 2 people to combine the thoughts of. How it decides who to combine the thoughts of is unknown.
it literally is a statue. The picture they use for it is an actual piece of art (a photo of a statue).Ooh, so is it called “The Statue” because u shouldn't move or blink when its there? It's actually called ‘The Statue’, but fans like to give it the nickname ‘peanut’. Isn't SCP 173 the Peanut Head?
I think you can wink, though.

I think you can wink, though.
nobody knows what happens if you blink with one eye.
the one idea that I do like is more a joke but basically 173 goes “you broke the rules” and snaps your neck anyway.

Speaking of 173, I wanted to make an SCP meme using the r/sadlygocarts subtitle ‘peanuts growling’. I searched up ‘peanuts growling’ on google images, and guess what literally the third result was?I think you can wink, though.

The aformentioned SCP meme I was going to make.
Also, unrelated, but I accidentally found this thing when looking for the Foundation:

The containment procedures aren't very good. If I say to not think of a purple elephant, the first thing you'll think of is a purple elephant. Likewise, if I tell you not to think about something dangerous, you're going to think of something dangerous. You're still making eye contact, so 173 wouldn't move.I think you can wink, though.

How about having to use amnestics if you're going near it? It would be interesting, and make them more than a “oopsies you accidentally saw a thing you shouldn't have, now you must forget” device.Yeah, I should probably remove that. The containment procedures aren't very good. tbh nobody knows
from a writers' perspective blinking with one eye makes SCP-173 completely harmless so there's almost no reason to have it in the first place
eh whatever.

the rubber is a good scp ytWhile the rest of mankind dwells in the light, we must stand in the darkness to fight it, contain it, and shield it from the eyes of the public, so that others may live in a sane and normal world.
We secure. We contain. We protect.

The SCP Foundation is a fictional horror project based on documenting the SCP Foundation, a fictional organization that basically hides anything that shouldn't exist or breaks the laws of nature. These are called SCPs. After seeing numerous references on Scratch relating to some SCPs, I decided to create a topic here on Reading and Playing to allow the discussion of the concepts, and take inspiration from the Foundation for Scratch projects.
However, this project is quite mature, so I'm putting down the following rules so that it keeps with Scratch forum standards:
- PLEASE DO NOT link to the SCP site. That place is not for kids.
- Feel free to discuss the concepts of the SCPs and tales on the SCP wiki, as well as take inspiration, but anything even vaguely inappropriate for kids should not be mentioned, or if it must, why don't you expunge it? (Use (DATA EXPUNGED)).
- Generally keep these discussions kid friendly. Go ahead and discuss tactics on surviving in a locked room with SCP-173 (maybe blinking with one eye?), or theories on SCP-055, but please avoid mentioning some of the more mature themes of the project. The way SCP-500 cures just about anything or the concept of an SCP-008 zombie outbreak are also nice discussion topics.
- The SCP Foundation is a horror project. Let's not scare the kids away. That means try to avoid describing some of the more scary SCPs, like SCP-087 or SCP-106.
- And generally, please follow the Community Guidelines to the letter.
- Please mention SCP-999, the most kid-friendly, cushiest SCP in the entire project. That is the one SCP that can be discussed as much as you want.
Well, happy discussing, and please keep to the rules outlined above or else you won't be able to discuss SCP anymore…
