im doing a car racer game that is 2 player, i have 2 “stages” and the first one works but when it moves on to the second the purple car doesn't move and sometimes the green car doesn't move either. Also on the first stage if the purple car hits finish it says winner and moves to the next stage but when the green car hits finish it doesn't do anything and you have to wait for the purple car to reach finish before moving on. the first problem is that on both your cars all the instructions for moving are in a repeat until touching finish loop.

so when a car touches finish that loop is finished and does not run again so at level 2 that car doesn't do anything.

So perhaps have those moving instructions after a when I receive go. then broadcast go at the start and again at the start of stage 2.
