Listen, I've heard a lot about hate on Scratch lately. And we need to fix that. This website is for FUN, not for hate. Stop spreading the hate, starting here.
If someone gets mad, and wants to quit, and you've been mean to them, you should own up to it. Say you're sorry. Do you really want someone to leave Scratch because of you? Join the Hate Strike, and let's start getting rid of the hate! First, I wanna show you something.

Emberous and Unlocked aren't leaving. But why is there hate to start with?

I don't know. People get mad. Things happen. And hate will tear this website apart, so that's why we need to stop it.

I've seen alot of projects about this lately something dark and mysterious is happening on scratch! Many people are leaving!

Yeah, that's true. But sometimes, we do mean it. Sometimes, we don't. Either way, people are leaving, whether the people who said something mean meant it or not.

mikeono102, GreenConsole, Tcodina, Scillog, and LeScratcher aren't leaving! I follow all of them and they are pretty active! Still, as long asthere is hate, there will be leaving. If you want leaving to stop, then we must want the hate to stop even more than we want leaving to stop.

I've just heard that some people are leaving. This generation needs to shape up. I know everyone has their moments when they're being mean, even me sometimes, but it needs to stop.

I am not sure that is all of the problem, something that makes Scratch such a good community is the fact that it isn't intended to a social media site like some make it to be, I am not trying to blame anyone, but Scratch is intended for learning. I have found that most people that have that goal aren't depressed and aren't leaving. Again I am not trying to point fingers.

Don't get involved in it is my advice. You don't know these people who are leaving because of “hate”s personal stories.

I agree. If you see hate on Scratch you should instantly:

1. Not reply. Don't feed the trolls!
   
2. Report the user and the comment or post or whatever. I'm sure the Scratch Team can do something.

no way! then how can someone mention glitches to the creator so he an solve them, or work together on a game, or give ideas? Comments ARE necessary. I would of gotten bored of scratch long ago if you couldnt talk to people besides making projects

Nah,hate is okay. And this is the internet.not everyone will be nice. Using the “i quit” thing means you are too sensitive.

Hate is never okay. It can go too far. Let's say the person was really depressed. And you made them MORE depressed by being mean to them. Some people are dead because of that.
