i think this defeats the purpose of scratch's short and simple community guidelinesYeah that's probably the only downside of my suggestion… The thing is, when you sign up to become a Scratcher, it never mentions the TOU! So a lot of people probably don't know about them, or they might not understand some of the legal language. I went through the TOU when I made my post, and a lot of it was confusing for me even though I'm a teenager
a better place for all the dos and donts could be the Terms of Use

Nice, but I don't know about the longness, most children (like me) won't be eager to read a super long article, some may just not read it, and others may just scroll trough it, but not reading it with detail, (this is my case for the ToU page) Keeping it simple and short makes the reader more encouraged to read the whole thing

Not sure what to do about that, hopefully the dropdown list might make it easier for people to read? Because then all the info is there, but it's like the main points are at the top and then the extra info is in the dropdown

Having the CGs short and simple means more people are likely to read it, but having these dropdowns is a very good idea, so more people would understand what each individual rule actually entails. Maybe have each dropdown say something like ‘Learn more’ or ‘What does this mean?’ or something like that?
Anyhow, I support.

maybe add allowed video games (fortnite and/or minecraft would be controversial since has a moderated chat)

maybe add allowed video games (fortnite and/or minecraft would be controversial since has a moderated chat)Minecraft is allowed as long as it's not used for things against CGS. It would be too long to list all the sites not allowed, and a kid might see one on the list and decide to check it out.

There is one that works that is still up, I don't think they intend to crash the site, most of the others are just clickbait to get loves
