Welcome to camp!
As our Intermediate session of BBBB starts in just a couple days, please read this post to learn more about what it will be like and what you need to do to prepare!

What will we do each day?
Each day of Bootcamp, there will be a theme set by one of our mentors. After reading the day's post (posted in the morning/late the night before, depending on your time zone), you will make a banner to the best of your abilities that goes with the theme! After you've made your banner, you will post a link (either a project link, Cubeupload link, or another link to the banner) in the Mentoring Hub. Your mentor will then give you feedback on your banner - what went well and what could be improved - along with a challenge for the next day. The next day, it starts all over again!

Is there anything I should do to prepare?
Good question! Here is a quick list of things you should do:

☐ Make sure you're following this thread.
☐ Make sure you've accepted your curator invitation to the Mentoring Hub (if you've been in a past session, you'll need to do this again as we've cleared out all curators).
☐ Check out the Hangouts studio if you haven't already - we have some fun activities going on there to get to know each other and make some new friends!
☐ Please ask your mentor any questions you have about Bootcamp!
☐ Get ready to have fun!

Anything else I need to know?
We're still finalizing mentoring groups, but they should come out tomorrow at the latest.
Of course, if you ever have any questions or concerns, please ask a mentor. We're here to help, and we're looking forward to our upcoming session! See you soon

Maybe you haven't made a banner before, or maybe you haven't created a wishes-themed banner before. This is your chance to experiment and show your mentor what you're capable of!

These questions are just to get you thinking about the banner. You don't have to explicitly answer them, just have a think.

How will you represent wishes in your banner?
Will it be about a wish you have?
Who are you making this banner for? Is it a signature banner, or a banner for a shop or other?
What feel is your banner going to have?
What type of font will work with the theme?

However tempting it may be, don't just put “Wishes” as the title of the banner! You are a lot more creative than that!
Try to get your banner done today - it's better to do it now than procrastinate and have all the banners you have to do pile up!
If you're stuck or have a question, ask your mentor! We don't bite!
Post your banner in the mentoring hub, responding to your mentor's comment with your name! Please don't post it anywhere else!

Now go get started on your amazing banner for today! And once you're done, feel free to have a chat in the hangouts studio! Remember, BBBB is meant to be fun! Enjoy your first day!

Sorry, the beginner session has already ended and our last session this summer is almost over!
I believe that all the image hosts that work on the Scratch forums require an account, but you can check this list. (There is a way to host images with Scratch, but I don't know how it works)
