Scratch has a bad word detector. What's considered a bad word and what's not, though?

Most common bad words are considered a bad word, but not “hell”, “*”, and “*”. Let's see if I get an alert for saying those.

Edit: Some, like the D-word, and the Cr word got censored by the forums.

Whatever the bad word detector says is bad is bad.

Anything you wouldn't like your teacher/guardian to hear you say.

I would agree with that. Anything that would make you uncomfortable seeing/saying, then you can report that.

I have seen ppl able 2 type d*mn uncensored. The bad word detector doesn't have a list of bad words, so I'm thinking any pattern of words reported in comments are considered bad words 2 the bad word detector.

No, the filter has an list of words. It's just d*mn isn't in that list.

heck and dang are allowed.

i would say that most of the words you may consider “bad” are in the list, due to different words meaning different things to other people.
