I'm offended.I wear glasses and am a nerd in computer science.
Not everyone who wears glasses is a nerd. I wear glasses most of the time and I'm barely good at math. No support for current emoji.
Although I support this argument.

I think a :smug: emoji will fit the use of this emoji better. A “nerd” emoji, as others have stated, would be stereotyping, not to mention “nerd” could be used as an insult.

I'm offended.

Also I hate them. I'm fine with emoticons but emojis annoy me too much for me to ever use them.

No support. Even if kids wouldn't be offended, it's still stereotyping. And it's also unnecessary. Besides, ‘nerd’ is considered an insult anyway.
I could see why calling a glasses-wearing emoji “nerd” might be problematic. Especially knowing that many children are afraid to get glasses because they're afraid of being seen as a “nerd” (or bullied otherwise).I can see reasonably well without my glasses. I wear them (mostly) because I want to be seen that way.
Support, I'm a big nerd and this would be funnyI could replace the word “human” in my About Me with

There are a buncha emoji requests out there, few of them make sense, but here's one of the other category: A nerd emoji.Just use the mockup then?
When is it useful? Well, you can use it after you corrected someone when it's a bit unnecessary to tell that person that you're aware that that's the case. It's an emoji I would actually use sometimes. Of course, you would create one with :nerd:.
What does it look like? More or less like, but with green nerdy glasses. You can just google it to get more or less an idea. Col_Cat228 made a mockup:
