Guide to Scratcharia version 2.8.3
“They say there is a person who will tell you how to survive in this land… oh wait. That's me.” - Guide
I wasn't really sure where to put this, but this area fit the most, since there wasn't a place to put guides specifically towards gameplay.
Link to game: Scratcharia
Oh, and this is going to be a Wall of Text, so beware.
This guide covers the Non-Peaceful mode, as it is the more difficult side.

Part 1: Basic Mechanics
Before we start, I want to give a general idea on how Scratcharia works. If you have played Terraria before, skip this section.

As stated, crafting works when you stand near a crafting station, like Terraria. However, it is different in this game, as it works if it is on screen.
Significant ones:
Workbenches, Furnaces, all Coins, Torches, and Wood Platforms do not need a crafting station.
A workbench makes the Anvil, Sawmill, Potted Plant, Bug Net, and the basic wooden furniture.
A furnace makes Glass, all the Bars (excluding Hellstone Bars) and Bricks, Chocolate (keep this in mind, we will do a bug with it later!).
A anvil makes all Bar tools (including the swords!), Diamond Staff, Glass Kiln, Heavy Workbench, Bucket, Chains, Candelabra, Chandeliers, Iron Fence, all Iron furniture, Cooking Pot, Trashcan, and Iron and Obsidian Doors.
A Hellforge is a furnace, but it can now make Hellstone bars.
Less significant ones (not completely useless!)

A sawmill can make Chests, the rest of the wooden furniture, Beams, mushroom stuff,
A Heavy Workbench can make all the Slabs, and that's it.
Glass Kiln makes all the Glass stuff.
Other properties that certain blocks have are:
If you press S, or the down key, you can go down a Chain, or go through a Wooden Platform.
Land Claims (only in Multiplayer) can make a spawn point.
All variations of Chests store stuff, self explanatory.
Hellstone Ore, when mined, produces Lava. It is advised that you contain the Hellstone before mining it.

Part 2: Tips
This is probably the most important part, so keep this in check.

In Scratcharia, it is safe to mine directly down. However, slow progress when you see a light source underground, and always assume it is Lava. A good way to check when it is that level is when Platinum and Gold are plentiful, and the veins are bigger.
First, however, we need blocks. We can either farm Wood, or we can use a bug I really love.

So, if you catch a Bunny with a Bug Net (which you get as a starter item for some weird reason..

Thus, I tend to use this method more.
I highly suggest that you drop the water at the edge of the maps (aka the oceans) down to the Underworld. It doesn't evaporate here!
This helps with getting obsidian, for getting Hellstone bars,
Part 3: Action!
First, chop down at least 5-6 trees to get some wood. You don't need Gel to make torches, so we can get as many as we desire!

however, you WILL need to make a workbench to get the Anvil.
Second, harvest more than 10 bunnies, and start doing the trick mentioned.
Then, make a furnace and start transforming all the easter eggs to Chocolate. Obtain at least 500+.
Third, we go treasure hunting. Start digging down until you get to the giant pool of lava at the bottom. Then, travel in any direction until you see a treasure chest making Chocolate blocks helps so much. Also, stop on the way for a Hellforge, we will need it later. We should be able to get the following:
Lots of Iron Bars, Potions, all Platinum/Gold tools, (if you are lucky) Blue Phasesaber, Diamond Staff.
Notably, we need the tools to get Hellstone and Obsidian. Keep in mind that Hellstone drops lava, and Obsidian can only be made by water and lava mixing on top, for some weird reason. Mine them until you got enough for 10 Hellstone bars. Then, make a small station using the Workbench, then make the Anvil using the Iron bars achieved earlier, and the Hellforge.
Make the following stuff:
10x Hellstone bars,
1x Fiery Greatsword,
1x Molten Pickax,
~500 Wooden Platforms
Now for the arena. Make a extremely flat terrain, possibly stretching across the entire map, and place Wood Platforms every 3 blocks up. make at least 5 layers. This is tedious because of how long it will take, but in the end, it will work. Builder potions help a lot.
Next, get 6 lenses and go to a Demon Altar, and make the Suspicious Looking Eye. This will mark the battle that ends the playthrough.
Next, trash any useless junk you don't need anymore.
Tips for fighting it:
If it looks at you very closely, run in the opposite direction. It will start dashing at you, and it will hurt a lot.
Drink Healing potions if necessary.
If it gets close, start swinging the Fiery Greatsword. Each hit deals 2%, so 50 hits will destroy it.
If it is far, start using the Diamond Staff. It deals minimal damage, but it helps with whittling it down a bit.
Wait for the start of nighttime, drink all buff potions, excluding Mining and Building, and engage in the fight.
EoC will flee if you don't deal enough damage due to it becoming daytime, so I would hurry.
After succeeding, the playthrough is pretty much over for now. You have completed it, but here are a few post game things you can do:
1. Get EVERY item, and store them in a chest.
2. Make a cool base.
3. Fight EoC again, but with the new weapons you have.
4. Make some cool Pixel Art.
5. Go critter hunting using the Bug Net. You already probably have Bunnies, but you can get lots more.
6. Harvest all remaining Water and Lava.
I hope this helps!

From what I've gathered, you should include guides for a Scratch project in Show and Tell.

can you place walls in this version? I am referring to the walls you can put on the back of your building.
