How do I make a banner? How does it work

Seriously tell meh, how do you make, use and add banners to things, cuz idk how they work

Do you mean banners like the one in my signature? All you need to do is create a 1000x200 image, host it on a whitelisted image hosting site such as cubeupload, and then insert the image in your signature or wherever you want it by clicking the Image button (next to the Link button) and pasting the URL of your hosted image.

wrap it in url tags so

[url=scratch.mit.edu/projects/1234567890][img]yourbannerurl[/img][/url]

I'm still confused. I made a banner, but usually, people have a banner and then when you click it to open the project, it says:
'Whoops! Our server is scratching its head!' Or ‘ This sight doesn’t exist' ! How do people make it like that?

Probably you don't share your project. Also, don't necropost.

Share the project, then click “Change featured project” and select it. Then unshare it before clicking OK.
