the seal of approval could also apply to other Scratch studios, like SDS studios. and… maybe even on a featured project!

Design idea: Maybe when you hover over it, a message will pop up, kind of like the bad word detector on profiles, but above the studio, and it says:

Scratch Team
Official Studio

or something like that.

I think it should be automatically done for all studios where at least one manager is a ST member.

The Forum Helpers studio has Za-Chary as manager, but is not officiated by Scratch nor does it get impersonated a lot. If this was the case, it would be called “official” which isn't good since it's not. The Scratch Team could probably manually mark them as official, since there isn't too many active ones and those are the ones that matter.

I second this.

I do agree with the idea of official studios being marked, but it should be manually done by a ST member. But at the moment, I can't see a perfect way of this being executed. As in- I can't see a good design yet.

I would add a banner at the top of the screen if you search for ‘propose projects to be featured’, because with a seal or gif, you could still create fakes

Maybe we should just NFE things that say “propose projects to be featured” and nothing else. If it says something other than that then it's pretty obviously fake, and the ST can just un-NFE the real one.
