Is doing these of the following allowed?
1. Boycotting other coding websites (in this case I'm talking about codemao)
2. Advertising about your own projects
So when I asked about the Other Language sub-forum, I saw this reply:
I also saw a few users boycotting other coding websites. Are these even allowed?
2. Advertising about your own projects
So when I asked about the Other Language sub-forum, I saw this reply:
So advertising is allowed, since it's the Show and Tell forum. Am I right? It's essentially all of the English forums packed into one forum, but for another language.
I also saw a few users boycotting other coding websites. Are these even allowed?

I would say “boycotting” isn't the word. It's more of just “hating” on that site. No, no matter how people hate it, they shouldn't be saying it there, or anywhere.

And… I'm 13 now so this needs an update… eventually…
If anyone wonders why my pfp is the thing it currently is, it's because… I honestly don't know. (My original logo is in the banner above)
miku ftw
but zyte, your pfp is luo tianyi…
because using miku as a pfp is weird. and i didn't want to use tianyi or miku as an pfp, i was forced to
i think i like this pfp now…

I would assume that advertising is allowed in the other language forums as there is nowhere else to put them. I wouldn't think that boycotting a coding site is allowed because I don't think you can do that anywhere on the forums.

for your first question
It depends what the policy on scratch is about that, its prolly a big no-no but ik that other actual coding sites hate scratch as it hasn't got an IDE, no-one really knows 100% if scratch blocks counts as anything related to a programming language (its not a high-level or low-level language neither is it machine code, I don't think visual goes anywhere near text-based languages) because lets be honest, scratch won\'t teach you much if you want to move over to JS or java or C++ maybe it will give you some knowledge you can take on in python, but thats it.
your second questions is:
I don't really understand what you mean but yes if you advertise on your own project, profile, siggy or show and tell forum

1. No. You wouldn't see that in the English forums, so you shouldn't see it in the Other Languages forums either. 1. Boycotting other coding websites (in this case I'm talking about codemao)

2. Yes, as long as you are advertising something on Scratch.
