what is this "be moist" trend?

I've seen a lot of people here, including a few Scratch Team members (specifically Za-Chary) saying “be moist”.

Where did this trend come from? What does it mean? I remember hearing somewhere that the phrase “be moist” has an inappropriate meaning, does it have anything to do with that????

or does it just not mean anything?

In 2014, a user by the name of Moisture set their signature to “Be Moist B)‎”. Only 6 years later, would a Scratcher by the name of Super_Scratch_Bros20 find a post by Moisture, and they brought it up in the Forum Helpers studio. One of the helpers, Za-Chary, mentioned the idea of turning it into a trend, which sparked a lot of helpers to put “Be Moist B)‎” in their signatures as well. Not long after would a studio called the “Monarchy of Moist” be created, which spread the trend onto the main website as well.

I think it means ‘Be cool’ Like, cool as in popular. That's what i have heard

The true meaning of “Be Moist” exists on a higher plane of existence that can't be described in words

only Moisture has access to that plane of existence, but he has not visited our puny realm known as earth in years….

I’m pretty sure, though, that “be moist” also has an inappropriate meaning….

Not going to look it up though since I don’t want to be exposed to bad stuff, but I still thought I should let people know.

Yes, the word moist does have an inappropriate meaning but that is the same with a lot of words. In case you haven't learned, people love making innocent words dirty, then it catches on and we're left with a certain dictionary. If anything, you're making people curious for no reason by saying this since that statement can refer to SO MANY WORDS.

it's a trend that isn't funny anymore

it was because of someone named Moisture that had a signature
so people decided to be unoriginal and copy that signature
then all of a sudden its a trend
