Well first, listen to the audio that you are animating to, and get a feeling for the vibe/beat/style. Do you think the song would go well with a colorful character, or should it be greyscale? Is it fast-paced and would need clean transitions, or is it slow, and should just be smooth, slow animations?

When you've gotten a feeling for it, figure out what you want the animation to do; maybe make a sketch-out, or just write down what you want to happen. Then, start to animate!

Animating takes a lot of practice; it will take a lot of trial and error to make the animation on time, clean, and natural-looking.

So basically, (This is coming from a game maker) you have a sprite or something with all of the costumes, one for each frame, and then do this:
make sure to have "Run without screen refresh" on the custom block (You'll see it when you make it)defineanimationnextcostumeor next backdrop, depending on if you are using a sprite or a backdropwhenclickedforeveranimation

You should perhaps consider making a different type of project more in-line with your skills then.

You need motion, looks, sound, events, control, variables and list blocks, you can see the animation tutorial, hope it helps!
