make :/ not turn into a emoji if there is a slash after it

Once I told someone the link to update chrome on the bugs and glitches forum, but then when I sent it it looked like this:
chrome/help
it was supposed to say chrome://help and since https:// and http:// don't turn the :// into an emoji, I thoght it would be helpful for the emoji not to appear if there was another slash after it.

So what do you think? Let me know.

I could see how much of an issue this is to people, but I think a better alternative would be to just not make emojis automatic anymore, and to make it more similar to the comments where emojis are surrounded by underscores. The reason that would be better is because this isn't the only issue with automatic emojis, so it would be knocking out multiple birds with one stone. Sometimes when I try to put a ;-; at the end of parenthesis, it's turn into (… ;- or when I put a link or code, like you said it turns it to /.

I swear that suggestion exists, but I can't find it for the life of me. :( Here it is!

Sadly it will really stick out because you set the text as black, and the color of the text isn't black.

example

This one works better,

example

As you can see, it uses the right color text, which is a purplish-grayish, and to use it just do [color=default]. It's also better because I think it works with people userstyles', for example if somebody is using a dark mode extension, the default text color gets turned into a white and then everything using [color=default] is a white, I think. I'm no expert, that's just what I can assume.

I (kinda) knew it!

Thanks, I was actually going to ask you for the link since I thought you made it, but I wasn't 100% positive so I didn't.

No it is not, that suggestion is just saying emoji's should not be automatic. This sugestion is asking for the emoji not to activate if there is a slash after it.

Hey, you're right! I use a dark theme userscript (which I can't share due to the policy :/), and when people do [color:black] it annoys me, but that workaround looks just fine, and is what I do (by the way [color=auto] does the same and is faster to type :] ).

Anyway, support, this “feature” is annoying.
