how to fix "project could not save."

I also can't save my project; all I have is a ‘When green flag clicked, play sound until done’ bit of code, and the sound (229.21). I know my internet connection is strong enough to typically save, but every time I try, Scratch a) takes like three minutes straight, and b) won't save. I don't know if it's because my connection is slow, or what.

This happens useally when the project.save ui stops running or stops running and updates for a bit, it will happen alot due to the age of the save system

boymcboy solves this by clicking “save now” every time it appears, also, as 7sofa said, try to backpack the project and open it in a new project, you will have to remake the cloud variables, though,

i had this problem and then i gave up and eat dinner. about 1 hour later there was no problem with the saving! so i would recommend just wait it out

Hello guys so hekc Scratch is don't saving files because my files are big here are some error codes

when green flag clicked
switch costume to [error 404 v]
do [nothing] with this error
wait [ a few ] secs
end
(pick random (errror 303) to (error 505))

I'm having the same issue and when i duplicate the tab I have open there's no code. Does
that happen to all of you too?

I'm having this same problem, but I have found a short-term solution: simply open another tab and go to the https://scratch.mit.edu/mystuff/ site, delete some of your old projects and quickly press the save button on the other tab with the project on it. it should save.

Reason 1: File too big, try to delete some sound and costumes.
Reason 2: The Wi-fi disconnected, try to reconnect the wifi.
Reason 3: Someone hacked your account, you can download it to your computer and wait until the rude person signned out that account, they might sign out a few hours later.
Reason 4: Your account signed out, try to re-sign.
Reason 5: Your account was blocked or banned, you should download the project and wait until your account unblocked or un-banned.

You can try to create another account.
You can try to switch to another browser.
You can try to switch to another computer.

Just to assure you that Reason 3 would almost never happen unless it was a sibling or friend.

Well the problem with this is its because something on your project such as sounds are past the limit for sounds it would be past the time limit which is about 10 mins
i know you cant actually do this but just for the post:

 
if ((Sound1) = (10 minutes)) then
set [Project Saves] to [0]

same problem it only fixes after sometime and appears again later this usually happens when you watch something and save thats my experience with it i hope it helps oh and also when you pass the song time limit the limit is 600 seconds and if you pass it you get the error i hope the scratch team fixes that and go to 1 hour limit

When my project couldn't save, I was confused for a while until I realized that the project was on my main account and that I had signed into my test account to grab something. It saved once I signed back into my main account, and then I had figured it out. If I had reloaded, I would have been 404'd.

Try To Reduce the file, try making the sound shorter use less costumes and stuff like that

The reason why this happens is because you are not connected to an internet connection (probably)

Its not because of an internet connection @whyyoulookingatme its because some Mp3 files you have uploaded are too long
