I too am having trouble connecting my Micro:bit to my MacBook. It connects to my PC just fine. Please advise.

I can't connect my micro:bit recently. It was working last month.

Same as everyone else, except for NaveenPS, Windows is completely up to date, and still, Scratch can't find the microbit. What is going on? It works fine with Makecode arcade, but not with scratch. ???

Same…… I even downloaded Scratch link and everything but it still wont work

I had the same problem, solved by changing chrome flags.

The problem is chrome failed to connect to the web socket hosted by the Micro:Bit device because the host on the device use legacy TLS.
Do this on chrome, or the new Edge: in the address bar type:

chrome://flags/#legacy-tls-enforced

choose 'disable'
restart the browser.

I downloaded the offline version of scratch. It works with that. The problem lies within the scratch 3 online environment.

Confirmed with a second computer and second micro:bit as well…

i have bbc micro:bit go and i have moved the hex file into the micro:bit and i have installed scratch link but scratch offline editor and online editor
both are not dectecting micro:bit

I have Scratch Link 1.3.57 (949d6ed) Win32NT
I have BLE 4.0

Then I opened https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor/ and tried to connect to microbit.
I used Firefox, nothing works, can't connect.
I tried Chrome, nothing works. Then I disabled flag as mentioned in that topic above, restarted chrome, no success.
New Edge, nothing works.

What is the root cause?

UPDATE. IT WORKS, WHEN I RESTARTED COMPUTER.
So, I have the previous setup, use Chrome.
I disabled flag in Chrome (message #27 in that thread). Then I restarted computer. Connected to computer microbit again using micro-usb cable, then launched Scratch Link, then opened in Chrome Scratch editor and launched microbit extension. For the first time in pop-up Scratch window it can't find Microbit, I pressed Try again button 2 or 3 times, and finally it found Microbit board. Now it works.

You can also connect microbit using battery without cable connection to the computer and it will work too, remotely.

I can't connect microbit via Bluetooth.

- I installed Scratch Link and it's running.
- I copied Scratch micro:bit HEX file into micro bit.

I can find microbit on browser and push Connect, but following screen continues to be showing and it doesn't proceed next step.
I could connect microbit via bluetooth only one time, but I couldn't connect it next time.


Does anyone know a workaround for this?
