Actually, it's six years making it 2025 but either way it is not likely that trend will continue.

It's just a coincidence that they came out six years between each other. Because there are no reasons why Scratch will need to update to a new version, I don't think it will be coming out soon. ST said that it won't come until after 2025.

If the ST denote changes in the programming language Scratch is built on as a fully new release, there's a good chance that Scratch 3 will be around for the entire decade since I don't see Javascript going out of taste for programmers anytime soon. Maybe if they decide to move away from React to a different JS library then that could be counted as another major release, but I do know it's not going to be for a while.

When scratch is 18, almost 20 years, probably.

We're a bit past 3.1 on Scratch Desktop, and I pretty sure I don't even have the latest version installed
