How did the Scratch devs come up with “_ksllxmfcai_” for the illuminati emoji? Did they just randomly spam the keyboard?

On April Fools' Day of 2017, a new emoji was discovered, showing the Illuminati symbol. After April Fools' Day, any use of the emoji would be replaced with the text “triangle eye”. It was reinstated for the duration of April Fool's Days 2018 and 2020, and subsequently once more became “triangle eye” afterwards.article
According to Scratch Team member thisandagain, the emoji name ksllxmfcai does not mean anything, it was just “smashing the keyboard”.

Not really random smashing on the keyboard. Decode it on a Vigenere cipher with the key “Charles”. You'll see. Not really random smashing on the keyboard. Decode it on a Vigenere cipher with the key “Charles”. You'll see. (Charles is a member of the Scratch Team…)Someone needs to edit the Wiki then…
Anyway, here's Charles's profile. He was basically a mascot for the April Fools “Mascots in training” joke. There were other mascots like him.
The connection to the Illuminati can be found in this project, and a Vigenere cipher is used here. Here's the deciphering of it.

I edited the Scratch Wiki page for Scratch Emojis recently to mention the cipher.

There is a way to get the
emoji working any day of the year.
The Scratch Team made it so it says “triangle eye” if it isn't April 1st, but enter a few short codes and boom!
