.ico? Well, I don't really know about it, but should there be a way to change it into a .jpg or .png?

No, Because It's Meant for Windows Only.
The ICO file format is an image file format for computer icons in Microsoft Windows. ICO files contain one or more small images at multiple sizes and color depths, such that they may be scaled appropriately.

For casual discussions, Wikipedia may suffice for an actual source. For a formal research paper, though, it's something you should probably stay away from.Thats's actually not true. I would not describe it as the most reliable source of information, but I'd say it's the most comprehensive out of all sources on the web.

I'm pretty sure that there are two types of ico files:
one is an image type for Mac, and the other is like a zip file full of Windows thumbnails.
They want the Mac picture type to be supported, not the thumbnail one. (I'm guessing.)

You can convert WAV sounds to MP3 files, but they still support the WAVs.https://cloudconvert.com/ico-to-png^^ There is a workaround so no support

Just convert it, it's not that hardSure, for one ico file.
But let's say you have dozens of them. Is it still easy?
